Meet Caroline

Caroline Dautel has been sketching since she was a youngster, but it wasn’t until tutored lessons in high school that she learned more of the technical skills that go into creating art. It was her teacher, Lisa Wright, a gifted painter and fellow Christian, who encouraged Caroline to pursue art professionally. Caroline hopes to use her art to point others to God and to celebrate the beauty of what He has created.
Born and raised in Southern California, Caroline later relocated to Washington state where she began watercoloring in her spare time. It quickly became her real artistic passion, and since then she has been painting the landscapes she loves so much. Besides her art ventures and jobs in the community and at her church, she loves spending time with family, writing, reading, and dancing.
“…if we confess that the world once was beautiful, but by the curse has become undone, and by a final catastrophe is to pass to its full state of glory, excelling even the beautiful of paradise, then art has the mystical task of reminding us in its productions of the beautiful that was lost and of anticipating its perfect coming luster.”
-Abraham Kuyper, Stone Lectures, 1898
